Two sojourns in Japan. A cooperation with the Ashiya University in Kobe.

The two study visits in Japan take place once in a year in line with the MBA instruction. Each visit takes one week.Responsible course instructor: Mag. Masataka Ohshita

 

Two company field trips

Aim: Acquirement of practical experience in the different characteristics of Japanese business culture.
Content: The students will spend one day in each field trip in a Japanese company and will interchange with the Japanese Management and  employees and learn about the characteristics in corporate acts.


Two culture field trips

Aim: Development of basic knowledge in the fields of Japanese culture.
Content: Through these two culture field trips the students should learn about important cultural aspects like tea ceremony, Japanese theater and the Japanese temple culture which will be introduced to them. Ongoing discussions with Japanese representatives of different companies are designated to complete their impressions and deepen their experiences.


Principles of Budô and practical exercises

Aim: Strengthening individual competences through acquiring essential principles of Budô, the Japanese Martial Arts.

Content: Practical exercises are necessary in order to learn and further enhance physical, mental and psychic skills in order of being able to use them also in daily life and work. They have a strong impact on the advancement of cross-cultural understanding, confident leadership as well as conflict resolution skills.


Principles of Zen as well as a 3-day field trip to a Japanese Zen convent and introducing to monasticism

Aim: Strengthening of mental and self competence through acquisition of the essential principles of Zen and Zen meditation.

Content: By living in the Zen convent and attendance of monasticism as well as the training of Zen meditation, the attendants will make new experiences and advance their physical, mental and psychic skills, which will be beneficial in everyday and working life if integrated there.
In particular their leadership and conflict resolving skills should be advanced.
